【剧情简介】:
15世纪初意大利南部的Puglia，年轻的修女Flavia Gaetani对宗教统治下妇女的不平等待遇质疑教会，可却没有得到回应。性压抑、宗教压迫使她透不过气，一次机会，她和犹太人朋友Abraham逃离了修道院，不幸的是，没多久就被神父的士兵捕获，受到鞭刑，Abraham则被关进地牢。在穆斯林军队侵占意大利期间，Flavia成了穆斯林军领导人Ahmed的情人，通过他报复羞辱过她的修女和神父，但她的力量毕竟太单薄……。
电影以性压迫、宗教压迫和异端邪教为话题，讲述了修女Flavia的故事，对于信仰天主教的人来说，电影内容可能会十分的反感，气氛压抑，难得一见笑容。现实使Flavia对宗教产生了怀疑，并抛弃她原来的信仰，成为一个女权主义战士，加入到与教会的斗争中。起码对于她的这种勇气是值得同情的。其实可以把Flavia分为四个部分：修女Flavia、平民Flavia、战士Flavia和殉道者Flavia，这样看就比较好理解了。电影裡一场修女鑽进死去的牛肚子裡的戏向我们暗示了什麽呢？这值得思考。导演Gianfranco Mingozzi于2009年去世，他曾是意大利着名的纪录片导演，多次获奖。主演Flavia的Florinda Bolkan生于巴西，后移居意大利，是与索菲亚罗兰(Sophia Loren)齐名的意大利女演员。
【Storyline】:
Italy 1600: A convent of nuns are invaded by the Tarantula Sect on their annual pilgrimage. The cultists defile the place of worship, orgying in the chapel and desecrating the altar. One nun decides she can't take the religious oppression any longer and flees the convent upset that all the leaders are male.
